Karen Sease, Pastor
Pastor Karen Sease was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina. She attended Furman University, where she earned a B.A. in Psychology in 2009, and the Lutheran Theological Seminary at Philadelphia, where she received a Master of Divinity in 2014. Before going to seminary, Pastor Sease served as Faith Relations Coordinator for the Greater Lynchburg affiliate of Habitat for Humanity in Lynchburg, Virginia. She was called as pastor of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in October 2014. Stemming from her southern roots, Pastor Sease enjoys porch sitting with a glass of sweet tea and a good book.
Lisa Rulli, Parish Administrator
Lisa comes to Grace Lutheran Church after 25 years in the workforce, including a Buyer position for a large Building Co-op. After one of her four sons had undergone open heart surgery in 1999, Lisa opted for a more family friendly career. She most recently served as the Youth & Family Director at the Philadelphia Freedom Valley YMCA where she worked for 15 years, primarily with children with special needs. Lisa and her family (a husband and five children) reside in the borough of Pottstown where she has been an active member of the Keystone AMBUCS and various PTO boards and committees. Lisa enjoys reading, gardening, walking her dog and spending time with her family.
Phyllis Rinehart, Minister of Music
Phyllis began piano lessons at age five, and singing in the church choir at age eight. This began a lifelong love of God and church music. As an adult she began studying the organ more seriously in response to the shortage of substitute organists for her church. She has served as supply or interim organist at churches in Pottstown and Berks County. In her spare time, Phyllis enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with family.
Stephanie Houck, ELC Director
Stephanie Houck has been the director of Grace Early Learning Center for over 15 years. Stephanie holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Ed/ Elementary Ed from Kutztown University and a M. Ed. degree in Education/Instructional Technology from Cabrini College. All of her classroom experience has been in early childhood education. She has taught 2nd grade, Preschool, and Pre-K. Stephanie has two teenage children, a son and a daughter. Both attended Grace Early Learning Center as preschoolers. Over the past 15 years, working here has allowed Stephanie to meet many wonderful families in the Pottstown area. She enjoys watching the children grow as they come to the school as a toddler and leave as a preschooler. Stephanie enjoys reading, biking, exercising, hiking, and vacationing with her family.
