We will meet to discuss The Shack by Williams P. Young. “A beautiful
story of how God finds us in the midst of our sorrows, trapped by disappointments, betrayed by our own presumptions. He never leaves us where he finds us, unless we insist.”
Sunday, February 17, 2019
Readers will discuss Have a Little Faith by by Mitch Albom. “What if
our beliefs were not what divided us, but what pulled us together?” A
nonfiction story of Albom’s eight-year journey between a white well-to-do
Jewish rabbi and a poor African-American Christian pastor.
Children’s VBS Sunday School: Sunday school is currently offered for children from Age 2 up to Grade 6. A similar concept to our summer Vacation Bible School, the children gather with their teachers and friends for Bible stories, crafts, and games.
Children’s Church: Children Grade 2 and younger are invited to attend Children’s Church during the regular Sunday service. Children who want to attend children’s church go with two teachers before the adult sermon for a short story, activity sheet and play time. Children return to their parents before communion. The lessons are aligned with the church year and are read from a Story Bible.
Children’s Sermon: A Children’s Sermon every Sunday after the reading of the gospel. Afterwards, children may go to Children’s Church or rejoin their families.
Vacation Bible School: Every summer Grace Lutheran Church hosts Vacation Bible School. Please check back for information for our 2019 session.
